Anguish As Alchemy is a deck that challenges you to befriend your grief and let it serve you as a great teacher.

Anguish As Alchemy is a one-of-a-kind ritual deck that is a companion to my book The Devil's Death and will help you move through grief and cultivate self-knowledge. compassion, and empowerment. The limited edition deck will serve as a comfort to those grieving as well as a tool for self-care and understanding.

The Limited Edition Deck

 Anguish As Alchemy is a tool that can be used to sharpen inner knowledge, aid in healing, and deepen personal power. This printing is limited to 222 hand-numbered and signed copies. I designed the deck to serve as a ritual tool and sacred art piece.

Anguish As Alchemy will be gilded. The deck, booklet, and card box will all be a heavy matte black print illuminated with gold foil, a nod to its alchemical roots.

 The Good Death sigil - the symbol from The Devil's Death that represents the transformative nature of death and rebirth - will be applied with gold foil on the back of each card in the deck and each card will have gilded edges. The deck will be comprised of more than 35 cards that will come in a heavy two-piece matte black and gold-foiled box and be accompanied by a matte black softcover guide book with gold foiling. This accompanying booklet will be over 80 pages and discuss the reflections for each card and its associated ritual, act of empowerment, or introspection.

How to Use The Deck

Pull a card to find your message and embark on a powerful journey.

Each card represents a different grief ritual, plant ally, or illuminated action to help you embrace and/or transform your grief and an evocative image for contemplation. The Deck's accompanying booklet provides a narrative and questions for each card as you continue on your inner journey.

The deck is composed of Ceremony, Plant Ally, and Illumination cards. Ceremony cards contain a sigil or illustration from a ritual within The Devil's Death. When chosen, you can engage in the recommended reflection from the accompanying booklet or the entire ritual from The Devil's Death. Plant Ally cards contain an illustration of a plant that aids in grief from The Devil's Death. When pulled, you can consult the booklet to understand how you can incorporate into your grief/alchemical work. Illumination Cards display my Sacred Rest sigil and contain a reflection or action you can take to work with your grief. You can pull cards individually, within a spread, or incorporate all three categories into your reading to create your own custom rituals.

The deck is designed to be used in conjunction with The Devil's Death as it provides the full rituals the Ceremonial cards refer to. However, Anguish as Alchemy can also be used without the book, as the companion booklet that comes with the deck provides insights and prompts of its own for each card.
